Anurag Kashyap reveals he saw Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani Twice | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyaphave a very unique relationship, at one point in time the two had gotten involved in a war of words but as time passed two have settled their difference. He went on to state in an interview that he once thought that Karan was a misfit but the more he discovered him the more he identifies with him and he aspires to be like him as a filmmakers Karan was also seen playing an antagonist’s role in Anurag’s Bombay Velvet.And now Anurag has come out in full support of Karan’s latest offering Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

Taking to Instagram, the director called Karan’s film his best film by far and also revealed that it is only the second film of Karan Johar for which he’s bought tickets, not once but twice.He wrote, “ Best @karanjohar film by far . He never leaves his world but he also does not hold back any punches . Also it’s the second KJo film that I bought the tickets for ????that too twice , and sending everyone that trusts me to go see .”
“The way karan addresses all kinds of snobbery , all kinds of shame and phobias that come from our conditioning , the way he addresses our conditioning with all the humour and aplomb and joharisms.. was totally sucked in his world’, he added.
He also was full of praise for the the leading couple Ranveer Singh,Alia Bhatt and the writing team, he wrote, “Some super writing , a top of form @ranveersingh , ever so brilliant @aliaabhatt and there sparkling chemistry . After a long time I loved the dialogue writing in mainstream Hindi film where people talk like they talk . Kudos to @_ishita_moitra_ and @gogoroy .”
He also added that his favourite part of the film was the love story between Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi ,he said , “ My favourite part of the film is the incredible unrequited love story of @aapkadharam and @azmishabana18 and the patriarchal villainy of the matriarch @jayabachchn . “ and the highlight of the film was the dance performance to Dola Re Dola by Ranveer Singh and Tota Roy Chowdhary.
He signed off by revealing that he saw the film twice already and wrote , “ the mainstream Hindi film I’ve been missing for so long .. ❤️ the real @karanjohar that I know has fully put himself out there.”
