Anupam Kher reacts to Swastika Mukherjee’s criticism on his look as Rabindranath Tagore | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

A while ago, Anupam Kher had shared his first look from his film where he essays the role of Rabindranath Tagore. The actor had shared, “Delighted to portray #Gurudev #RabindranathTagore in my 538th project. Will reveal the details in due course. ये मेरा सौभाग्य है कि मुझे गुरुदेव को पर्दे पर साकार करने का सौभाग्य प्राप्त हुआ है! जल्द ही इस फ़िल्म की अधिक जानकारी आपके साथ संझा करूँगा! ????????????”
But his look got a lot of backlash from netizens. Popular Bengali actress Swastika Mukherjee took a dig at Kher and tweeted, “No one should play Robi Thakur. Leave the man alone.” Kher has now finally reacted to this criticism and said some people want to be noticed by their negative views instead of their work. He also asked if the concerned person if Tagore’s spokesperson. Going forward, people would tell them not to make any film on Gandhi, hence, it’s an absurd point to make. Kher said that the statement that Tagore should be left alone made no sense and had no meaning. Hence, when Kher got a message from his team about it, he asked them to concentrate on the positive feedback and not the negative one.
The actor said that it took two months to get the look right. Plus there’s nobody in the world who doesn’t get criticised, hence he can deal with it.
