Antonio Brown announces ‘return’ to NFL with Ravens, but team has said nothing about signing him
Antonio Brown is making a return to the NFL – according to his Twitter account, at least.
The embattled wide receiver posted a photo Friday of himself in a Baltimore Ravens jersey, captioning the post, ‘Excited to return to the NFL this year. #RavensFlock.’
The only problem is that the team has said nothing about the purported signing, while the Ravens picture appears to be a photoshopped mock-up of one he took previously with the Raiders.
Ravens spokespeople did not immediately respond to a request for comment from DailyMail.com.
While Brown appears unlikely to be heading to Baltimore, however, that doesn’t mean the Ravens have been idle in terms of their offense.
Three-time Pro Bowl receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was signed to a one-year, $15million deal earlier this month and fellow wideout Zay Flowers was taken by the team Thursday with the No. 22 pick of the NFL Draft.
A Miami-Dade County judge ordered the Broward County Sheriff’s Office to arrest Antonio Brown on April 14 over claims of unpaid child support of up to $33,260.58
Most importantly, quarterback Lamar Jackson and the team finally agreed to a contract extension, with the sides agreeing to a reported five-year $260million deal earlier this week.
Brown’s Ravens post comes a week after a Florida judge ordered cops to arrest him over unpaid child support of up to $33,260.58 despite the retired NFL wideout claiming to have paid the sum in full on social media.
The order was issued by a Miami-Dade County judge on April 14 after Brown, 34, had allegedly avoided payments that he had been supposed to send to his ex, Wiltrice Jackson, according to court documents seized by TMZ Sports .
On Friday, however, the 2021 Super Bowl champion shared a photo of a receipt on his Instagram page, appearing to show that he ended up paying the five-figure sum to Florida Child Support.
‘Everyone want to see me fail that’s why I have to be Great!!!,’ the former Buccaneers, Patriots, Raiders and Steelers receiver captioned his post.
While Brown won the Super Bowl with the Bucs in 2021 and was named to seven Pro Bowls, he’s been in the news in recent years for the wrong reasons.
In 2018, ‘AB’ was sued for throwing furniture off a balcony at his apartment complex in Florida when a 22-month old child was nearly struck by some of the debris on the patio below. He ultimately settled that lawsuit.
Furthermore, he settled a sexual assault lawsuit with a former personal trainer who claimed that he exposed himself to her and raped her in 2021. In 2020, a mover was awarded $1.2million in damages after he accused Brown of attacking him during a disagreement.
Separately, Victor Prisk, a Pittsburgh-based doctor, with whom Brown worked while with the Steelers, also sued Brown for ‘farting in his face’ and $11,500 in unpaid fees in 2018.
In January 2020, after several domestic incidents in which police were called to Brown’s home in Hollywood, Florida, cops stated they no longer wanted Brown to be involved with their youth league (PAL).

In 2022, Brown’s name was involved in further controversy after allegedly exposing himself to a woman at the Armani Hotel in Dubai, specifically in the pool area.
That same year, in December, Tampa police attempted to serve Brown with an arrest warrant on domestic violence charges related to an incident with his ex-fiancée from the month prior, in which he threw a shoe at her during an argument with her.
And in January, Snapchat suspended Brown’s account after he posted an explicit photo of a woman performing oral sex on him.
