Anna Wintour and Hugh Grant lead the way at Laver Cup for Roger Federer’s farewell doubles match
Hugh Grant and Anne Wintour were among a slew of stars in attendance at London’s O2 Arena on Friday to watch Roger Federer’s farewell to tennis with a men’s doubles tie at the Laver Cup.
The actor, 63, was joined by his wife Anna Eberstein, 42, as they took their place in the stands for the tense matching.
Also in attendance was Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who put on an uncharacterstically cheerful display as she chatted to Roger’s proud father Robert, ahead of the tennis ace’s final match ahead of his retirement.

Roger Federer was given a standing ovation by the 02 Arena crowd ahead of his farewell doubles match at the Laver Cup, on Friday night.
But his final ever match ended in tears and defeat after he and Rafael Nadal lost to American duo Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe.
The Laver Cup men’s doubles clash was decided with an 11-9 match tiebreak and the defeat saw the Swiss maestro bring the curtain down on a stunning career.
Having not played any kind of match in fifteen months, the record will show that Federer’s last appearance ended with a 6-4 6-7 11-9 defeat against Americans Frances and Jack.

The Swiss tennis legend revealed earlier this month that the London tournament would be the final competition of his career, having struggled with a series of injuries in recent years.
And as he made his way to onto the court on Friday, where partnered up with Spaniard Rafael Nadal, he was met with a chorus and applause from the fans in the audience.
The 41-year-old looked a relaxed figure backstage before the match, as he spoke with team captain Bjorn Borg and team-mates Stefanos Tsitsipas and Matteo Berrettini, before making his way onto the court.

Federer had previously spoken of his desire to play alongside Nadal, before Team Europe captain Borg helped grant the tennis legend his wish.
The 20-time Grand Slam champion – who sits third in the men’s all-time tally – bows out as one of the greatest to ever take to the court, claiming a stunning total of 103 singles titles on the ATP Tour.
The Laver Cup, which Federer helped to establish in 2017, sees Team Europe go up against Team World in tennis’ version of golf’s Ryder Cup, with nine singles and three doubles matches taking place at London’s O2 Arena.
