Anil Kapoor gets nostalgic on 29th anniversary of ‘1942 A Love Story’, traces his journey as an actor | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Anil Kapoor has been a part of the industry since the 1980s and clearly, and the way he looks completely belies the fact that he’s so experienced. After having done a number of path-breaking movies, the actor continues to re-invent himself and here’s some proof of that. Anil shared some throwback BTS pictures from ‘1942 A Love Story‘, as the film completes 29 years today.
The actor shared a stills front the film with Manisha Koirala and some BTS pictures with Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Jackie Shroff and Anupam Kher. He wrote, “29 years ago I played nicest the best man in the world who only wanted to spread love, and now, 29 years later, I play the baddest man in the world, who spreads chaos and war…I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to play these spectacular roles! From 1942 A love Story to The Night Manager, I’ve sure come a long way! #29YearsOf1942ALoveStory”.

Farah Khan commented on Kapoor’s post and said, “Papaji don’t forget we became friends here ❤️”. Writer-director Milap Zaveri also said, “In the next 29 years more characters will get the honour of being played extraordinarily by you sir ❤️”
The film got a lot of accolades and the songs of the film are still remembered. Sanjay Leela Bhansali had written the screenplay, along with Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Shiv Kumar Subramanium.
‘The Night Manager’ saw Kapoor in a negative role. The web-series which went into its two seasons also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sobhita Dhulipalia and Tillotama Shome. The second season of the show has released recently.
