Anand Ahuja and Anil Kapoor distribute sweets as Sonam Kapoor returns home from hospital with Baby Kapoor Ahuja – Watch – Times of India

The new mom and baby were warmly welcomed by grandparents Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor and other members of the family as they arrived home. Shortly after mum and baby were settled in, proud father Anand Ahuja stepped out of the Kapoor residence to distribute boxes of sweets to the police and members of the media who were present outside the house.

The new dad was accompanied by new grandfather Anil, who was thanking members of the press for their congratulatory messages and well wishes.

Sonam and Anand announced in a statement last Saturday that they welcomed a baby boy. “On 20.08.2022, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy with bowed heads and hearts. Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, friends and family who have supported us on this journey. It’s only the beginning but we know our lives are forever changed,” the statement read.

Anil, said that the family is elated to welcome their newest member. “We are delighted to announce, on the 20th of August 2022, the arrival of the newest member of our family. Sonam and Anand have been blessed with a healthy baby boy and we couldn’t be more elated. Our hearts are bursting with pride and love for the new parents and their beautiful angel,” the veteran actor said in a statement.

Sonam and Anand tied the knot in 2018 in an intimate wedding that was held at the Kapoor’s residence. The couple have still to announce the baby’s name.
