‘An Action Hero’ box office collection day 1 early estimate: Ayushmann Khurrana starrer records 5 percent opening – Times of India

‘An Action Hero’ witnessed a dull opening day collection, with morning shows earning around 5 percent in collection. Interestingly, it looks like Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Drishyam 2’ may earn more than Friday release ‘An Action Hero’.

‘An Action Hero’ follows an artist’s journey, both in front and behind the lens. Khurrana plays Manav, an action hero, who runs for his life as Bhura Solanki (Jaideep Ahlawat) wants to avenge the mysterious death of his brother. Speaking about box office success, Ayushmann had told ETimes, “I have always endeavored to give fresh content. I always have boxes to tick like – Has this ever been done in Hindi cinema before? Is it pathbreaking? Is it original? Rest of it depends on the audience on how they receive the film. I always want to give it my best and make content that is unique. I’ll never be known for a 300 crore film. I’ve always been known for small and mid-budget films. That’s why I can afford to take risks. I’ve never had the pressure.”
