Amitabh Bachchan’s rib injury: Project K makers SPEAK on shooting again with him- Exclusive – Times of India

It has not been an easy time for Amitabh Bachchan. The legendary actor has not made it much known that his injury at ‘Project K’ (that happened in the first week of March) has given him a very tough time. Bachchan has so far put up a brave front and put out posts which say that work has been suspended for the time being and he is resting at his residence, Jalsa, and is “generally lying around”; his rib cartilage has broken and there is a muscle tear in the right rib cage.
This morning, he posted: “So despite the inconvenience of a damaged body… there must be desire and effort to repair… which is being done with care and comfort of the Ef and well wishers, and for which there is repeated gratitude and love.” Added Bachchan: “Work schedules have been done and the charts start filling up again… to the joy of the ‘moi’ .. for there is no better pastime than work… Yes the rib and toe are in a state of revolt… but revolts must be tendered with and a solution to be found… and find we must… we no, I.”

So, what’s happening on the shoot front of ‘Project K’? Are Deepika Padukone, Prabhas and Disha Patani- who also star in the film- shooting? Is any other member of the cast facing the camera? The answer is ‘No’.
The shooting of ‘Project K’ has been suspended for the time being and everyone is anxiously waiting for Bachchan to report back on the set. When contacted, the film’s director Nag Ashwin told ETimes, “Bachchan sir will join us in our next schedule.” And while we asked when the next schedule was, Nag Ashwin hung up.

We then called the film’s producer Swapna Dutt, who was slightly more forthcoming. When asked when would Bachchan join them, Ms Dutt said, “Sir is getting better. When he’ll be alright, we shall restart.” That implies that they have pressed the pause button till Bachchan returns. But when asked about it, Ms Dutt too hung up.

Post injury, Bachchan was taken to AIG Hospital in Hyderabad (where the accident happened) for a consultation and CT scan. After that he was flown back to Mumbai.

Knowing Bachchan, this man will once again stand tall. We at ETimes wish him a full and quick recovery.
