Amitabh Bachchan to play to lead in courtroom drama ‘Section 84’ – Times of India

Amitabh Bachchan has announced his next project, a courtroom drama, which will be helmed by Ribhu Dasgupta. Big B will play the lead role in this thriller, which is titled ‘Section 84’. Announcing the same, Amitabh Bachchan had tweeted, “a delight once again to be in the company of distinguished creative minds for this new venture , and the challenge it provokes, for me ..”

This movie marks Amitabh Bachchan and Ribhu Dasgupta’s third collaboration after TV series ‘Yudh’ (2014) and ‘Te3n’ (2016). Speaking about their third collaboration, director Ribhu Dasgupta said in a statement, “I feel happy, blessed, and honoured to collaborate with Sir again. Looking forward to it.” Apart from directing, Ribhu is also the writer of ‘Section 84’. Interestingly, Big B’s last courtroom drama was Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s ‘Pink’. He shared the frame with Taapsee Pannu in this 2016 entertainer.
Apart from this thriller, Big B has several interesting films in the pipeline. He will be seen essaying a pivotal roles in Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Ganapath: Part 1’ and Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s Project K. Amitabh Bachchan also has shot for a cameo in R Balki’s ‘Ghoomer’ and will also be seen in ‘The Intern’ remake co-starring Deepika.
