Amitabh Bachchan seeks blessings at Siddhivinayak temple as ‘Uunchai’ releases today; Abhishek Bachchan accompanies his dad – Times of India

Helmed by Sooraj Barjatya, ‘Uunchai’ features Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa, Parineeti Chopra, Neena Gupta and Sarika in lead roles. Speaking about collaborating with Big B, the director ahd shared, “I realised that sir is the easiest actor to work with. I enjoyed working with him on the sets but I enjoyed (his company) more in his vanity van. Because he would talk about life, poetry, filmmaking, he teaches us but on sets, he only listens and that’s the greatest thing.”

Amitabh Bachchan had also revealed that he signed up for ‘Uunchai’ because of his son Abhishek. Big B had revealed, “Abhishek wanted me to do the film. When the son becomes his father’s age or comes nearer to it, he starts wearing his shoes. And if your son asks you to do something, you agree to it.” Early trend suggests that ‘Uunchai’ has recorded a decent advance booking figure, having sold 20k tickets for the weekend. This friendship drama is expected to sail through comfortably.

Apart from ‘Uunchai’, Big B also has ‘Project K’ with Prabhas and Deepika Padukone and will also be seen essaying a cameo in Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Ganapath’.
