Amid clash between ‘Drishyam 2’ and ‘Bhediya’, Ajay Devgn showers praise on Varun Dhawan; calls him a ‘rockstar’ – Times of India

Varun shared pictures of himself where he is seen interacting with his fans. Along with the photos, he wrote, ‘#bhediya has given me so much love it feels amazing to see Soo many people coming to the theatres. A special Sunday as #Dhrishyam2 and #Bhediya give a lot of happiness to all cinema lovers congratulations @ajaydevgn sir and @AbhishekPathakk.’

Replying to the same, Ajay wrote, ‘Hey @Varun_dvn I’m happy Bhediya & Drishyam 2 have managed to bring the audiences back to the theatres. It’s a feel good moment for us as an Industry. You’re a rockstar.’

‘Drishyam 2’ is an official Hindi remake of Mohanlal’s 2021 Malayalam film of the same name. The film also starred Tabu, Shriya Saran, Akshaye Khanna and Ishita Dutta in lead roles. It not only impressed the audience but also raked in numbers at the box office.

‘Bhediya’, on the other hand, is the third film in Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe after ‘Stree’ and ‘Roohi’. The Varun Dhawan starrer also featured Kriti Sanon in the lead role.

Varun will be next seen in ‘Bawaal’, opposite Janhvi Kapoor while Ajay has ‘Bholaa’, with Tabu as next one in the pipeline.
