Ameesha Patel opens up about her cold war with Bipasha Basu over Jism comment on Koffee With Karan | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Ameesha Patel, who is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Gadar 2 with Sunny Deol, recently opened up about her acting career and her equation with her industry colleagues. She also addressed the old controversy involving her, Bipasha Basu and Lara Dutta.
It had so happened that after watching the 2003 film Jism starring Bipasha Basu and John Abraham, Ameesha had said that she would never get permission from her family, especially her grandmother, to do such a steamy role on the big screen.
When Karan Johar had asked Bipasha Basu about Ameesha’s comment on Koffee With Karan season 1, Bipasha had retorted saying, “Ameesha is too petite, too small to carry, her whole frame is wrong. To be a woman, like the total package, not just your bodily, you have to have a very strong personality. She would not fit in Jism.”
Adding to this, Lara Dutta had further said, “The girl (Ameesha) is dealing with more than enough in her life to really think or talk about anyone else.”
Talking about the controversy which had let to a cold war between her and Bipasha, Ameesha told Bollywood Hungama that she don’t know why Bipasha and Lara spoke not very complimentary about her on the show. She added that she had done an entire world tour with Bipasha and they got along well. She had also done Elaan with Lara and she was very polite to her throughout the filming.
Ameesha further said that she still stands by her comment on Jism adding that it was a fantastic film with great music and great performances. She said that she can look sexy and hot but she is not comfortable with that amount of boldness and skin show on screen which Bipasha and Sharon Stone pulled off in Jism and Basic Instinct.
She also recalled when Karan came to her and asked her what she will say about Bipasha and Lara’s comments about her on his show, Ameesha simply replied saying ‘nothing.’ Ameesha was supposed to be on Koffee With Karan with Arjun Rampal but they couldn’t as the latter was down with typhoid.
