Amapiano to the world: Robot Boii wins ‘Best Dancer’ at Trace Awards
The Trace Awards honoured African and Afro-influenced singers during an awards ceremony held on Saturday in Kigali, Rwanda. The event was organized by the international TV and multimedia platform Trace.
JOHANNESBURG – At this year’s Trace Awards, a number of domestic and international artists received recognition, including South African musician, Mzwakhe Mbuli Jr., better known as Robot Boii.
The Trace Awards honoured African and Afro-influenced singers during an awards ceremony held on Saturday in Kigali, Rwanda. The event was organised by the international TV and multimedia platform Trace.
Robot Boii, who won the title of Best Dancer, posted a picture of his trophy to social media with the simple message: “God did.”

The Grammy Award winner for Best Global Performance and the Forbes Woman Africa Awards Top Entertainer are just two of the many accolades that the Xola Moya hitmaker has won. Most recently, Nomcebo won the Trace Awards’ Best Global African Artist category.
