Born in Mangalore, Karnataka, Divita Rai went onto to live in many cities across the country, thanks to her father’s job. She went onto becoming an Architect after graduating from Sir JJ College of Architecture, Mumbai.
The 23-year-old model loves playing sports (badminton, basketball), painting, listening to music and reading.
According to Rai, overriding her fears and anxieties regarding the pageant outcome and fuelling her desires to realise her dreams by applying for LIVA Miss Diva was her biggest accomplishment.
Interestingly, Divita also participated in the Miss Diva Universe pageant in 2021. Harnaaz Sandhu won the title and she emerged as the 2nd runner-up.
Divita is said to be hugely inspired by Sushmita Sen who was crowned Miss Universe in the year 1994. Apart from Sushmita’s strength, Divita is inspired by her “conviction in her abilities”.
The beauty queen wants to make education accessible to all. “As my father harnessed its power to break out of his financial circumstance and empower himself to earn and provide for his family,” she told ETimes.
When asked what advice, she’d like to give to the youth of today, Divita told ETimes, “To not be cynical at the face of the present world challenges, to recognise the power within each one of us to use our abilities and skills to do good, drive change and operate from hope. We may be many in number, but with the United intention to reinvent a better reality for all of us, we’ll be able to create a lasting and impactful change.”
