Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor’s ‘2 States’ actor Shiv Subramaniam passes away – Times of India
Sharing the sad news on social media filmmaker Hansal Mehta shared that the funeral will be taking place today morning in Mumbai. His official statement read, “With profound and heartfelt grief, we wish to inform you of the passing of one of the most dignified and noble souls to inhabit human form – our dearest Shiv Subrahmanyam. Incredibly talented, he was much loved and revered personally as well as professionally.”
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Diyya, her mum, dad, Rohan, Rinki, and family; Bhanu chitti and all of Shiv’s family; and his huge legion of friends and fans,” he added.
Updating fans about the funeral, the tweet also read “The funeral will leave from Shishira, Yarnuna Nagar, Lokhandwala Back road, Andheri West at 10 am, 11.04.2022. The cremation will be at 11 am at Mokshdham Hindu Shamshanbhoomi, Ceasar Rd, Amboli, Andheri West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400058.”

Soon after Mehta shared the post, fans rushed to the comment section and paid tribute to the actor. Reacting to the sudden demise, filmmaker Nikkhil Advani dropped a broken heart emoji. “Terrible news. The sadness doesn’t end. A great guy, and incredible talent. Gone too soon. #RIP #respect,” commented Ranvir Shorey.
On the work front, apart from acting, Shiv Subrahmanyam is known for writing screenplays for films like Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s ‘Parinda’ in 1989, Leena Yadav’s ‘Teen Patti’ in 2010 and Sudhir Mishra’s ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’ in 2005.
