Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 trailer will be attached to Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani but with a warning | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film OMG 2 has run into trouble with the censor board. The movie has been suggested 20 cuts and received an A certificate from the Revising Committee. However, it has been learnt that the trailer of OMG 2 will be attached to Karan Johar’s upcoming directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani but with a rider.

The trailer has a warning attached to it stating, “Main film is yet to be certified.” The reason for this is probably because the film is stuck with the CBFC.

The makers have to reply to the show cause notice on the modification asked by the CBFC.
There is also a chance that if the producers wish, they could take their film to re-revising committee of the censor board. It may be noted that film producers are still discussing the next step as the film release is slated to August 11.

Earlier in the day, ETimes had informed readers that the makers of OMG 2 are planning to change the release date as they want to fight it out against the changes suggested by the CBFC. The makers are neither happy with the cuts not with the A certificate as this will affect the essence of the film and the topic of sex education which should be seen by people of all ages.
Directed by Amit Rai, OMG 2 stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in the lead roles. Pankaj could be seen playing the role of Kanti Sharan Mudgal, who worships Lord Shiva with utmost dedication, while Akshay is seen playing the role of Lord Shiva who comes to help Kanti’s family when they suffer a big tragedy. Yami Gautam portrays the role of a lawyer in the film.
OMG 2 is a sequel to Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar starrer OMG: Oh my God. In the original film, Akshay had essayed the character of Lord Krishna.
