Akshay Kumar, Firoz Nadiadwala are in talks with Ahmed Khan to direct Awara Paagal Deewana 2: Report – Times of India

Ever since, Akshay Kumar’s plan to revive the three of his most loved franchises – Hera Pheri, Welcome, and Awara Paagal Deewana, the actor has become the talk of the town. Reportedly, Akshay and the film’s producer Firoz Nadiadwala have had multiple meetings in the last few months to get everything in place for these projects.

Buzz is that, Akshay and Firoz and director Ahmed Khan are in talks to helm Awara Paagal Deewana 2. According to a report in Pinkvilla, the trio will be working out on the dates soon, A source close to the portal informed that Akshay, Ahmed and Firoz’s association goes back a long way Ahmed had even worked as a choreographer on the Awara Paagal Deewana 1, so he understands the project.

“They are currently working to develop an appropriate idea for the sequel, after which they will start working on the script. However, they are not rushing into it and are giving it their all, as they want to do complete justice to the original”.

Back in 2002, the original film helmed by Vikram Bhatt starring Suniel Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, and Amrita Arora was a huge hit.

Meanwhile on the work front, Akshay Kumar will next be seen in Tinu Suresh Desai’s Capsule Gill, Amit Rai’s OMG 2, Subhash Kapoor’s Jolly LLB 3, and Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
