Akshay Kumar announces ‘Raksha Bandhan’ trailer to release on June 21 – Times of India

Sharing a new poster from the film, the actor announced in a social media post, “Behen jaan hia… sisters and brothers are bound together with an unbreakable bond of love! Here’s our attempt at a glimpse into their world! #RakshaBandhanTrailer releasing on 21st June 2022.”

This announcement comes just days after the actor announced on Thursday that the film is all set to hit the big screens on August 11. Sharing a motion poster of the film, coupled with a song from the movie’s soundtrack, Akki wrote, “Bringing you all a story of the purest form of bond that will remind you of yours! #RakshaBandhan releasing in cinemas on 11th August 2022.”

The film is now set to clash with Aamir Khan’s highly anticipated ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ which will also star Kareena Kapoor Khan in a leading role.

According to the latest reports, fans will be in for a treat next week, as makers of several Bollywood films have lined up their trailers for release all through the week. While Akshay will launch the ‘Raksha Bandhan’ trailer on the 21st, Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Shamshera’ is expected to be out on June 24. Meanwhile, the trailer of Rajkummar Rao’s ‘HIT: The First Case’ is also expected to be out sometime next week.

Buzz is that Akshay, Ranbir and Aamir will have their trailers attached to the upcoming multi-starrer ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ that hits the big screen next Friday.

‘Raksha Bandhan’ is a comedy-drama, directed by Aanand L. Rai and revolves around the love, bonding and attachment between brother-sister. The film also stars Bhumi Pednekar and marks her on-screen reunion with Akshay after starring together in ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’.
