The movie was eventually remade by Ajay Devgn in Hindi, Kamal Haasan in Tamil and Venkatesh in Telugu. According to a news portal, Drishyam 2 has gotten into the development stage between the creators in Hindi and Malayalam.DirectorAbhishek Pathak and his team of writers have reportedly cracked the basic core plot for Drishyam 3. Jeethu Joseph and his team have loved it and now they are working towards developing it into a screenplay.
The Hindi and Malayalam team of Drishyam are working together with a long-term vision of shooting both the films together and release them on the same date all across India. While Mohanlal will reprise his role of Goerge Kutty in Malayalam, Ajay will take the journey of Vijay Salgaonkar in Hindi.It is being said that once the screenplay is locked, the Telugu Drishyam producers will also join the Hindi and Malayalam team to release the film on the same date. Everyone associated with the film are trying to provide the best experience of their element of suspense without spoiling its twists and turns.
Drishyam 3 is said to be the final installment in the franchise. The movie is expected to go on floors in 2024.
