JOHANNESBURG – With the Rugby World Cup just five months away, fans can rest assured they will not be missing out on any of the action.

Three flights will be added between Johannesburg and Paris throughout the World Cup, which runs from Friday 8 September to Saturday 28 October, increasing the number of weekly trips from seven to 10, Air France-KLM Country Manager Southern Africa Wilson Tauro said during a media brunch on Tuesday.

“The Rugby World Cup is a much anticipated and major sporting event worldwide, even more so for South Africa as the defending champions, so naturally we expected the demand during this period to increase,” said Tauro.

“We are very happy that we are able to add an additional three flights per week to our current daily flights between Johannesburg and Paris to satisfy the demand. The additional flights are performing well, and we look forward to welcoming all the South African rugby fans on board,” he added.
