That the nights are becoming increasingly chilly in Los Angeles isn’t enough to turn a crowd away from a Staud and Saks party. Inside, Sarah Staudinger, co-founder of her own 7-year-old eponymous label, and Roopal Patel, fashion director at Saks, weren’t hard to find—after all, they, like some of the night’s guests, had arrived dressed to the nines in styles from the Californian brand’s new exclusive capsule with the New York retailer. They were a bow-accented miniskirt, and whimsical organza gown, respectively. Perched atop a windy road in Beverly Hills, the location for the evening, the iconic estate of Tony Duquette, was one that would garner a number of awe-inspired compliments throughout the night.

Though the fete was not technically a holiday soirée, the launch of Staud’s 12-piece Organza capsule feels aptly timed with festive touches perfect for the mood of the night. Rather than a pumped-up bash, the event, though it brought out a crowd, felt intimate and light. Of course, such a brand would call for the attendance of familiar faces in the industry as well, such as Natalia Bryant, Ari Emanuel, Emma Brooks, George Augusto, Rebecca Dayan, and Alyssa Coscarelli.

A jazzy soundtrack courtesy of a live performance from The Apollo Trio lent to the night’s soft ambiance as attendees scattered throughout various areas of the magnificently layered home, huddled in conversation and enjoying lite bites such as chicken tacos and mini burgers. The sight to see of the night—a Koi pond in the estate’s courtyard, lit up by Staud and Sak’s logos alike.
