After Marvel’s ‘Eternals’, BTS enters DCEU with John Cena’s ‘Peacemaker’ – Times of India
Just months after the K-Pop super-group featured in Marvel’s ‘Eternals’ film, the band is now making their presence felt in the DCEU. This time around, they have superfan John Cena to thank.
The wrestler-turned-actor, who is a part of the BTS ARMY, references the band in his anti-hero series. Fans could not believe their eyes when the star mentioned the band in one of his dialogues in the series.
“Dude, I didn’t mean to put your father in prison,” Steve Agee, who plays the character John Economos says to Cena’s character, Peacemaker.
Reacting to the statement, Peacemaker goes on a rant and starts naming all the people that he could have put into prison. One of those candidates included the Korean-pop sensation, BTS.

With this, BTS, like Super Man now exists in both the MCU and DCEU.
The band made headlines last year when it was revealed that Jimin and V‘s song ‘Friends’ would feature in the film’s soundtrack and the two stars would also feature in the end credit reel. Shortly after the film was released for digital streaming, fans noticed that the posters of the band also made it to the film. The scene in question was the one in Sersi (Gemma Chan) and Sprite’s (Lia McHugh) apartment. It featured photo cards and posters of BTS’ ‘Love Yourself: Tear’ and ‘Love Yourself: Answer’.
