Apple launched MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max silicon processors and hours after their debut, the industry is already talking about the next lineup of MacBook Pro laptops with rumoured M3 Pro and M3 Max silicons.
Soon after the iPhone maker announced the new MacBooks, industry analyst Miung-Chi Kuo tweeted that the next generation of MacBook Pro models will have M3 Pro and M3 Max processors. He also shared the alleged mass production timeline of the laptops.

“I expect the next new MacBook Pro models, which will adopt M3 Pro/M3 Max processors made by 3nm (likely TSMC‘s N3P or N3S), will go to mass production in 1H24,” he said in a tweet.

The new MacBook Pro models with M2 Pro and M2 Max will be available for purchase starting Tuesday, January 24, in multiple countries, including India.
The 14-inch MacBook Pro price for the M2 processor 10-core CPU variant starts at Rs 1,99,900, and the 12-core CPU variant with the M2 processor starts at Rs 2,49,900. The price of the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Max processor starts at Rs 3,09,900.
Similarly, the price of the 16-inch variant with M2 Pro processor starts at Rs 2,49,900, and the one with M2 Max processor has a starting price of Rs 3,49,900.

MacBook Pro with M2 Pro, M2 Max: Specifications, Features
The MacBook Pro with M2 Pro is claimed to offer up to 20% greater performance over M1 Pro, the GPU is said to offer up to 30% performance, and the Neural Engine is 40% faster, as per Apple. Meanwhile, M2 Max is claimed to deliver up to 20% greater performance than M1 Max.
They come with a Liquid Retina XDR display, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, and a six-speaker sound system. As far as the battery is concerned, Apple claims that the new MacBook Pro laptops can offer up to 22 hours of run time on a single charge.
Connectivity options on the new MacBook Pro machines include Wi-Fi 6E, advanced HDMI, which supports 8K displays for the first time, Thunderbolt 4 ports for high-speed connection to peripherals, an SDXC card slot and MagSafe 3 charging.
