Veteran actor Annu Kapoor recently shared a video in which he revealed that he got robbed during his trip to France. His video went viral on the internet in no time. After him, director Hansal Mehta has also shared his experience and revealed that he also faced a similar thing in France.

Hansal took to Twitter and shared his story. In his tweets, he revealed that he was left with no money while he was with his daughters.

He tweeted, “Saw a video of Annu Kapoor sir who was looted in France of his valuables and belongings. Had a similar experience at the Louvre museum where my wallet was picked and I was literally stranded without cash, debit or credit cards. More than anything else you feel terribly violated.”

Mehta further tweeted, “had my little daughters with me and had to frantically call my wife to either fetch us as we had no means to pay for our trip back to our hotel. Rest of the trip, a family vacation was ruined because of the anxiety and inconvenience caused by this theft. The cards were blocked and totally worthless/useless to the thief. There was hardly any cash. Moral of the story : When in France beware of being robbed like this. India is often unnecessarily maligned.” Have a look:

After Hansal Mehta tweeted, director Onir also shared his side of the story and said that even he was pickpocketed in Paris. He commented, “I got pickpocketed at the metro and my mobile was on while on my way to the airport in Paris . A film maker travelling with me had his credit card misused at a restaurant we ate for 75k . Realised it at midnight. Filed a complaint next day. Nothing came out of it.”

Meanwhile, Annu Kapoor in his video was heard saying, “My Prada bag was stolen, which had a lot of cash in Swiss franc and euros, my iPad, my diary and credit card. They stole everything, so whenever you visit France, be very careful as there are pick-pockets, dishonest people and thieves here.”
