AFL: Essendon star Kyle Langford hits Collingwood fan with instant karma on Anzac Day
He’s got Pie on his face! Bombers star Kyle Langford hits Collingwood fan with instant karma after footy tragic absolutely gave it to him before a shot on goal on Anzac Day
Footy’s hottest rivalry resumed on Anzac Day and Essendon star Kyle Langford was more than eager to serve out some cold revenge after a hilarious interaction with a Collingwood fan.
Around 90,000 fans descended on the MCG on Tuesday to see Brad Scott’s high-flying Bombers take on Craig McRae’s rampant Magpies, with the two rivals sitting in the AFL’s top four before the bounce.
And during a first half which swung back and forth, a Pies fan attempted to gain his side a marginal advantage by getting in the head of Essendon forward Langford as he prepared for a shot on goal.
Gesturing to return the ball to Langford, the punter waited for the opportune moment – just when the forward was close enough to grab the ball, to throw it away to the turf.
Yet that did little to deter the 26-year-old, who snapped a right-footed shot through the posts – and he did not let the attempted provocation go unpunished, turning immediately to the fan in the stand and pointing at him.
More to follow.
