Adobe India eyeing banks and retail business to push India growth: VP Prativa Mohapatra

Adobe India will look to bet on large banks, retail companies and large organisations to further augment its growth in India, the company’s vice president and managing director Prativa Mohapatra said.

“Our next big bets are in the large banks, retails companies and large organisations where, through multiple acquisitions, we have built the entire capabilities around what we call digital marketing, customer centricity and personalisation at scale,” Mohapatra said in an exclusive interaction with ET.

Companies in India and across the globe are looking at Adobe as a “strategic digital partner” instead of focusing on growth at any cost, she said, adding that there is also increased demand for “real time” analytics of customer behaviour.

Adobe, using its underlying artificial intelligence solution called Sensei, is solving a lot of these problems for its customers, she said.

“You expect a system to understand on its own, to recognise patterns. A customer wants to know why they have to repeat the same answers. Sensei is powering all that product development and our focus on AI will continue to drive our products,” Mohapatra said.

In India, companies in the banking space, travel and hospitality have continued to see growth in the post pandemic time with each of these sectors asking for a more personalised experience for their users, she said.
