Aditya Roy Kapur on cloud nine after OG ‘Night Manager’ Tom Hiddleston watches Indian remake; says ‘Bas aur kya chahiye’ – Times of India

Aditya Roy Kapur could not hold back his excitement after a chat with Hollywood star Tom Hiddleston.
Taking to his social media handles, the Bollywood hunk shared screenshots of his video chat with the ‘Loki’ actor and gave fans a tease of their conversation. Sharing screenshots of himself and Tom smiling from ear to ear, Aditya wrote, “The OG Night Manager watched our show yesterday!”

He went on to inform fans that the star watched the Indian adaptation of the web series, ‘The Night Manager’ and revealed, “He had some kind words to say. Bas aur kya chahiye?”

Aditya had some big shoes to fill when he took on the role originally played by Tom in the original.

‘The Night Manager’ is a 1993 novel by British author John Le Carre, who passed away in December 2020. The series is an official Hindi adaptation of John le Carre’s novel by the same name.

The story revolves around the night manager of a luxury hotel, a former soldier, who is recruited by a government espionage organisation, to infiltrate the inner circle of an arms dealer.

Following the success of the Hindi adaptation, Hiddleston announced early this month that the second season of the show is in the works. Filming is scheduled to begin later this year in London and South America under the codename ‘Steelworks’.

Although it’s yet to be formally greenlit, it has been reported that the show is set to receive a two-season order. David Farr, who wrote the original, will be back for Season 2.

Since the first season’s conclusion in late 2016, there have been numerous rumours of a second season.

It remains to be seen if other stars from the original series, including Olivia Colman, and Elizabeth Debicki, among others, return.
