Adipurush box office collection day 4 early prediction: Director Om Raut’s film nosedives on Monday, faces outright rejection from audience | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Director Om Raut‘s Friday release Adipurush has met with an outright rejection from the audience. The screening of the film has been halted in Nepal and it is also facing massive protests all across India. While the movie has earned Rs 340 crore worldwide in 3 days, Adipurush has nosedived on Monday following massive backlash.
According to reports, the movie has witnessed nearly 75 per cent drop in its footfalls and it is now looking to earn Rs 8-9 crore nett on day 4.This huge dip was expected after Adipurush failed to show growth on Sunday.
The drop has come across the metros and smaller centres. The film may do a better business if it manages to perform in pockets. According to early estimates, the 4-day collection of Adipurush will be Rs 113 crore nett at the domestic box office.Adipurush, which features Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita, Sunny Singh as Lakshman, Devdatta Nage as Hanuman and Saif Ali Khan as Ravana, has come under attack for its dialogue, colloquial language and representation of some characters from the much-loved mythological epic Ramayana.
Different parts of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and the national capital witnessed protests against the film on Monday. As protests intensified, the film’s writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla has been provided security by the Mumbai Police after he cited a threat to his life.
