According to Forbes, Adani is still ahead of Bezos, who is at number four on the list.

Elon Musk, the founder of electric vehicle major Tesla and space exploration firm SpaceX, tops both the charts. According to Forbes, Musk’s net worth was $274 billion, while Bloomberg said it was $264 billion. Other than three four, only Bill Gates, the co-founder of software giant Microsoft, with a net worth of $105.3 billion, is in the list of people with wealth valued at over $100 billion, the lists showed.
On Friday, after Adani jumped to the second spot on the Forbes list, the stock market went into a near-free fall. The billionaire derives most of his wealth from his holdings in the listed group companies. The stock price of Adani Enterprises, the group’s flagship company, closed 1.3% down, Adani Ports lost 3.2%, Adani Power 2.7%, Adani Transmission 0.4%, Adani Green Energy 1.2%, Adani Total Gas 2.4%, while Adani Wilmar fell 1.3%.
