Adah Sharma reacts on her Bappi Lahiri post controversy; blames it on bad timing! – Times of India

Adah Sharma is known for her humour and has even won hearts of her followers for all the creative and funny posts she puts up on social media. However, she got brutally trolled online after netizens reacted to an “insensitive” post shared by her recently. It was a picture of her alongside late Bappi Lahiri. The latter’s pic had him in his trademark style gold jewelry with Adah trying to match him up, with a caption – Who wore it better?

The Bappi Lahiri post which Adah did in March 2020

This post didn’t go down too well with social media users who bashed the 1920 actress calling her disrespectful towards the legendary singer who passed away earlier this month. As soon as the post went up on her Facebook page, a user wrote “At first try to understand your heights, and whom to compare with! Follow his works you can find that every person of bengal knows atleast one of his song complitely and then ask them about you they hardly can told who you are! I’m Not underestimating you but telling the fact.” Whereas, someone wrote, “Comparing for fun is different, but just after someone’s demise? Sorry, but I thought only your movies were trash, looks like you have an even trashier upbringing and person.”

Adah has now broken the silence on the controversy and has blamed it up on bad timing. In her explanation she shared, “The post was originally posted on my Instagram two years ago on 28th March 2020. (She shared the link). The Bappi Da post that was uploaded on my Facebook page yesterday had been scheduled for posting by us a month in advance. Unfortunately, we lost Bappi Da last week making the scheduled post ill-timed.”
