Adah Sharma: I am glad that our films are portraying cops as the real superheroes – Times of India
She is all the more excited about the fact that Bollywood is churning out cop dramas with leading heroes playing the part. She shares, “I am glad that we have been depicting cops as the real life superheroes in our movies. They do such a fantastic job and make us feel safe and secure in our city.”
It’s the time in her career where Adah is glad that she is finally receiving content driven and lead roles in films. The actress feels that in Bollywood, actresses have always scored important characters and won attention even in the earlier ears. “I feel like women have always got great roles in movies. I mean look at Guide (1965). It wasn’t a female centric film, but Waheeda Rahman ji got to play such a powerful role. I think our stories become interesting when all the characters have well sketched roles. If any of the characters are loosely written, then it isn’t an enjoyable watch.”
The actress who balances between Hindi and south projects has three Telugu films ready for a release. “I also have a good line-up of Hindi projects as well, you need to wait and watch,” she signs off.
