Actor and travel vlogger Shenaz Treasurywala shares she has Prosopagnosia: Know all about this disorder | The Times of India

Ishq Vishq fame, actor and travel vlogger Shenaz Treasurywala recently revealed that she suffers from a condition called prosopagnosia. The 41-year-old took to Instagram and shared stories talking about her recent diagnosis and explaining what this cognitive disorder is.

“I have been diagnosed with prosopagnosia. Now, I understand why I’ve never been able to put faces together,” she wrote in one of her Instagram stories.

“You have difficulty recognising neighbours, friends, coworkers, clients, schoolmates. People you know expect you to recognise them. Failing to recognise someone might make you seem aloof. Many sufferers report losing friends and offending coworkers because they have failed to recognise them. This is me. And I thought I was just dumb,” she explains.

She further expresses how she has always “felt ashamed” of not recognizing people’s faces – ” even close friends after a few years,” she says.

“This is a real brain issue. Please be kind and understand,” Shenaz Treasury wrote further.
