Accenture forecasts 12-15% growth in fiscal year 2022

Accenture has forecast to grow 12-15% in fiscal year 2022, on top of the $50.5 billion revenue it achieved in the current fiscal.

Accenture closed the record $59.3 billion for the full year, a 20% increase in US dollars over full-year fiscal 2020 new bookings, as clients step up investments in technology to transform their business. Accenture, which follows the September to August fiscal year, grew 14% in the year.

Consulting revenue stood at $27.3 billion, an increase of 13% while outsourcing revenue was $23.2 billion, an increase of 15% over the previous year.

“We are very proud of our outstanding fiscal 2021 financial performance, reflecting growth significantly above the market and strong momentum heading into fiscal 2022. Our results reflect the dedication and hard work of our 624,000 incredible people, who are laser-focused on creating tangible value for our clients, innovating with our ecosystem, and being the trusted partner of choice on our clients’ transformation journeys,” Julie Sweet, Accenture’s Chair & CEO, said in a statement.

Accenture has over 200,000 employees in India, a large base for offshore delivery of services.

Accenture, which has a consulting led IT services model, is a benchmark for how the IT services industry is growing globally. The company’s growth is also an indication of how Indian IT firms, which compete with it, would perform in the year ahead. Tata Consultancy Services, India’s largest IT firm, will declare its second quarter results on October 8, followed by Infosys on the 13th.
