Abhishek Bachchan takes a dig at actors who don’t believe in awards, says ‘it is because they didn’t get one’ – Times of India

Abhishek Bachchan recently took a dig at actors who say that awards don’t matter to them. According to junior B, they are only saying so because they didn’t win any.

Talking in detail about the same in an interview with a radio host, Abhishek said that awards are important for every actor. According to him, if someone says they don’t believe in awards, it is only because they didn’t get one.

Bachchan also added that they are all artists and if they get praised, that’s greater than any award for anybody.

Elaborating further, he added that they work a lot for appreciation. This is their business. Although there is a financial side to it, you praise an actor and he will be happy and an award is an ultimate praise. According to the actor, everybody loves awards and if you didn’t get an award, you are not popular enough or your performance wasn’t good enough. He added that if you are good enough, it will come to you.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Abhishek has some very interesting line-up of films in his pipeline that includes, ‘Bob Biswas’. The film is a standalone film of the popular character from ‘Kahaani’. The original role was played by Saswata Chatterjee. Directed by Diya Annapurna Ghosh, the film will release on an OT platform on December 3.

Apart from this, Abhishek also has ‘Dasvi’ co-starring Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur.
