Abhishek Bachchan opens up about being compared to his father Amitabh Bachchan; says he has never looked at it as a burden – Times of India

Recently, in an interview with a news portal, he was asked if he would hypothetically want to disassociate himself from his family, and re-launch himself in the film industry with a different name and a blank slate. Responding to the same, the actor said he would never do that, and he never even felt the need to do something like that. For him, the greatest pride comes from the fact that he is his parents’ son.

Elaborating further, Abhishek added that even professionally, he takes the responsibility of being his parents’ son very differently from how the world perceives it. For the actor, he looks at it as the responsibility to carry forth the family’s legacy, and he has never looked at it as a burden, or an albatross around his neck. Abhishek has looked at it as a huge, huge privilege and an honour, and he wakes up every morning wanting to do good service to that, the actor told Galatta Plus.

On the work front, he was most recently seen in the second season of ‘Breathe: Into the Shadows’.
