Abhishek Bachchan in talks to replace Arjun Kapoor in John Abraham’s ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ remake: Report – Times of India

The Hindi remake of Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon starrer Malayalam film ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ was recently in the news for being put on hold owing to date issues of the lead pair. It was reported that John Abraham and Arjun Kapoor will be headlining the project. However, according to latest reports, Arjun has walked out of the project and the cast of this John Abraham production will undergo a change.

According to Pinkvilla, the makers are now in talks with Abhishek Bachchan to replace Arjun Kapoor. If this comes through, this film will bring John and Abhishek together on screen after about 14 years since ‘Dostana’.

The Hindi remake is being helmed by Jagan Shakti who had directed ‘Mission Mangal’ earlier. The Telugu version of the film was titled ‘Bheemla Nayak’ and starred Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati. The film received an overwhelming response and did good business at the box office.

Meanwhile, John will soon be seen in Siddharth Anand’s ‘Pathaan’ with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. He also has Arun Gopalan’s ‘Tehran’. On the other hand, Abhishek is busy shooting for third instalment of web series ‘Breathe’ with Amit Sadh. He also has R Balki’s ‘Ghoomer’ lined up next.
