AAP’s rally in Delhi LIVE: ‘Ordinance being forcefully imposed’, says Kejriwal
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday organised a mega rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan against the Centre’s Ordinance on control over administrative services in the national capital. AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal addressed thousands of people who were present at the venue. Kejriwal slammed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Central government for imposing an ordinance that will ruin the national capital’s law and order. The mega is being attended by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Delhi Minister Gopal Rai, and party MP Sanjay Singh. Eminent lawyer and former Union Minister Kapil Sibal will address the rally and speak about the legal and constitutional aspects of the ordinance. Sibal is attending the rally at the invitation of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Delhi Police has made a heavy security deployment around the Ramlila Maidan in view of the rally.
‘Similar ordinances to be passed in other states too,’ Arvind Kejriwal
Hitting out at the Centre, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said Delhi is the first to be “attacked” and similar ordinances will also be brought for other states. The ordinance says that there will be no democracy in Delhi, he alleged.

During the anti-ordinance rally in Delhi on Sunday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, ” On 26 January 1950, India adopted its own Constitution. Dr BR Ambedkar mentioned in the constitution that India will be a democratic country. However, today, the Prime Minister of India has attacked our Constitution. PM Narendra Modi has changed the Constitution of India. PM is saying that instead of people, the LG will be supreme. Now to whosoever Delhi people give a vote, it will be a valueless process. BJP constantly insults me and abuses me. However I am a cultured man, I don’t like to abuse them back. I only like to fulfill my responsibility. But this time, BJP has insulted Delhi residents…this is something intolerable for me”.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal attacked PM Modi and said, “PM Modi can’t take care of the country but he wakes up every day and stops the work that are being done in Delhi”.
