Aamir Khan to join PM Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ conclave; says ‘you lead by communication’ – WATCH – Times of India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said he was eagerly awaiting the 100th episode of his radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’, scheduled to be broadcast on April 30. According to the latest reports, actors including Aamir Khan and Raveena Tandon and sportspersons Deepa Malik and Nikhat Zareen, along with journalists, radio jockeys and entrepreneurs, will participate in the discussion at a day-long conclave on Wednesday.
Aamir, in a statement to PTI, said, “It’s a very important piece of communication that the leader of the country does with the people, discussing important issues, putting forward thoughts and giving suggestions.”

“That is how you lead, with communication. You tell your people what you are looking at, how you are seeing the future, how you want their support. This is very important communication that happens in Mann Ki Baat,” he added.
The event that is being organised by the I&B Ministry will be attended by over 100 citizens from across the country. Reports state a range of activities have been planned, including four thematic sessions, two book releases and the unveiling of a commemorative postage stamp and coin.
After becoming prime minister in 2014, Modi started the monthly radio programme.

“This year is being celebrated as the year of millets. Millets are getting popular among people, be it ragi cookies or idlies. They are selling like hot cakes and farmers’ incomes are increasing due to it,” Modi said at a recent event.

“I mentioned millets many times in Mann Ki Baat…You all know that next Sunday Mann Ki Baat will complete its century, it will be the 100th episode. Mann Ki Baat has become a very good platform to highlight the specialities of the people of India and praise the uniqueness of the country. Like you, I am also eagerly awaiting the 100th episode,” he added.

The one-day conclave will be held in Delhi.
