Aamir Khan talks about daughter Ira’s mental health struggles, reveals son Junaid will be making his debut soon – Times of India
In a new interview with a news portal, Aamir revealed that Junaid will be entering the industry soon. The actor stated that his son had an interest in the theatres so he went to drama school in LA and was mentored there for two years. After working for another year at the company, Junaid returned to Mumbai and did about 5-6 plays in the city.
Elaborating further, Aamir added that Junaid used to go for screen tests. He even went for a screen test for Mira Nair’s ‘A Suitable Boy’ but he was not selected there. Aamir also said that Junaid never mentioned to anyone that he was the son of the superstar. After getting rejected from 15-20 places, he has bagged a film with a reputed production house. Aamir added that he is happy that Junaid has had his own journey right from the beginning.
As far as Ira is concerned, Aamir revealed that her ambitions are towards helping people with mental health issues. The ‘PK’ star also shared that Ira has faced many challenges in her life and he is happy to see that she is fighting it very strongly and showing courage.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Aamir is awaiting the release of his upcoming film, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film will hit the theatres on August 11, 2022.
