A pap praises the name “Raha”, proud mother Alia Bhatt warmly acknowledges – Times of India

Recently, Alia’s older sister Shaheen Bhatt turned 34 and the new mum stepped out to bring in her big day. Incidentally, this was the first time that Alia was publicly spotted after the birth of Raha.

Earlier, the “Darlings” actor took to her IG handle to share some pics with the birthday girl and wrote, “Happy birthday to the BEST person ever … my sweetie … my little melon smiggle pop. I love you so much that no amount of cute and sweet-sounding words will ever be enough. Okay bye, calling you in one hour.”

While on the way to the venue, Alia, who was accompanied by mother Soni Razdan was clicked by the paps. Dressed in comfort black wear with minimal makeup, Alia looked radiant. When a pap complimented Raha’s name by saying
Naam achcha hai, Alia warmly replied,
“Bahut achcha hai.”

A couple of days back, Alia and Ranbir announced the name of their baby girl in a heartwarming post. Taking to her IG handle, Alia wrote, “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings…Raha, in its purest form means divine path. In Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla – rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her – we felt it All! Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun.”

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor got married in April this year and welcomed Raha on November 6.
