Delhi Metro New Year Restrictions: ‘No exit’ from Rajiv Chowk after 9PM on December 31
This is done in order to ease the overcrowding on New Year’s Eve.
The entry of commuters will be allowed until the departure of the last train from the platform. The department of Metro has requested the passengers to plan their travel accordingly so that they don’t face any problems because of the change in the schedule.
Delhi Traffic Police has also put many restrictions on the occasion of New Year’s Eve . It has been decided that they will restrict the entries of all types of vehicles in Connaught Place after 8 pm.
The motorists have been asked not to enter Connaught place past Mandi House Round About, Bengali Market Round About, Minto Road-Deen Dayal Upadhayay Marg crossing, North Foot of Ranjit Singh Flyover, Chelmsford Road near Munje Chowk, Chitragupta Marg crossing, RK Ashram Marg,Gole Market, GPO New Delhi.
On the other hand , no vehicle will be allowed in the inner, middle and outer circle of the Connaught Place except for those who will be carrying valid passes, as said by the advisory.
They have asked the motorist to plan their route accordingly and to not break any rules , which will make them pay heavy fines and strict actions will be taken for them.
It is advised to follow all these protocols and to not break any restrictions enforced by the Delhi Police and the Delhi Metro,and also to not cause any trouble to them as well as to the commuters.
To ease overcrowding on New Year’s Eve on 31st Dec exit from Rajiv Chowk Metro station won’t be allowed from 9 PM onwards. Entry of passengers will be allowed till departure of last train from Rajiv Chowk Metro station. Commuters requested to plan their journey accordingly: DMRC
