‘Brahmastra’ star Alia Bhatt feels perfection is ‘boring’; says it is the flaws that make you, YOU – Times of India

Taking to her Instagram handle, Alia shared some unseen moments from a recent award show she attended. Along with the video, she penned a long post.

She wrote, ‘There are so many rules these days – especially for women. Don’t be loud. But don’t be timid. Don’t be too curvy. But don’t be too skinny. Have ambition. But don’t overreach. Be confident. But not cocky. There are so many rules that knowingly or unknowingly we think in order to be liked, to be loved, to be good, we have to be completely devoid of fault – an impossible, mythical being that could only really exist in the pages of a fairytale. But over the last ten years, I’ve come to fully realise something I subconsciously knew all along. Perfection is boring. It’s the flaws that make you, YOU.’

As soon as she shared the post, her friends and fans showered love in the comment section. Her mother Soni Razdan commented, ‘So true so true’. Even her ‘Brahmastra’ co-star Mouni Roy wrote, ‘You are perfectly imperfect & we LOVE You!!!!!’

While one of her fans wrote, ‘In love with you! ❤️ Do you! You are you and no one else can be you!’, another one called her ‘Queen’.

On the work front, Alia was last seen in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ co-starring Ranbir Kapoor. Next, she will be seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ with Ranveer Singh. The film also features actors like Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in lead roles. It is slated to hit the theatres in February 2023.
