Brahmastra box office collection Week 3: Ranbir Kapoor starrer nets Rs 20.25 crore on third weekend – Times of India
According to reports, the film was able to hit impressive figures, thanks to the big boost it received on cinema day on Friday. Box Office India reports that the film saw a big drop in collections on Saturday outside metros and mini metros. But, the numbers rose back on Sunday.
With an additional Rs 20.25 crore to its kitty, the film’s estimated total now stands at Rs 213.50 crore nett and could rake in good numbers during the weekdays, considering that director Ayan Mukerji announced that the film ticket prices will now be lowered to Rs 100 to reach a wider audience during the festival of Navratri.
Opening up about his decision to slash ticket prices, Ayan said, “National Cinema Day may have taught us something about finding the right ticket price point to allow more audiences to enjoy the movie experience on the big screen! Something which we are incredibly passionate about!”
He added, “With an attitude of always learning and trying new things, we hope this scheme brings some interesting positive learning to us all… and we hope our audiences continue to enjoy Brahmāstra this week, as we kick off Navratri celebrations from tomorrow!”
The Hindi version of the film is now expected to earn an estimated Rs 240 crore nett or even higher though a lot rides on how well the Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Vikram Vedha’ performs.
