World No 6 Tsitsipas produced a ruthless performance to brush aside Team World’s Diego Schwartzman 6-2, 6-1 and hand a 2-0 advantage to Team Europe at the O2 Arena in London
World No 6 Stefanos Tsitsipas extended Team Europe’s lead at the Laver Cup on Friday, when he produced a ruthless performance to brush aside Team World’s Diego Schwartzman 6-2, 6-1.
In front of a packed crowd at The O2, the Greek looked in control from the first point, overpowering the Argentine with his brutal forehand to move his side into a 2-0 lead against Team World.

Tsitsipas struck 17 winners and committed just six unforced errors to seal victory after 77 minutes. The 24-year-old has now won all three matches he has played at the Laver Cup, while he has improved to 4-2 in his ATP Head to Head series against Schwartzman.
Earlier, in the first match, Casper Ruud ensured Team Europe made a winning start, edging Team World’s Jack Sock 6-4, 5-7, 10-7.
The World No 2 has now won eight of his past nine matches after advancing to his second Grand Slam final at the US Open earlier this month.
