Apple launches all-new iPad mini: Features, specs and more – Times of India
Apart from an affordable iPad, Apple launched an all-new iPad mini. For the first time, the iPad mini’s display size has been increased. The new iPad mini gets an 8.3-inch display and will come in four new colour options. Apple claims that this is the “fastest” tablet in its category.
Apple iPad mini gets a Type-C USB port for the first time. Not just that, the iPad mini will support 5G as well. The rear camera on the iPad mini has a 12MP sensor with smart HDR support. On the front, Apple has given a 12MP sensor as well. Like all the iPads, the mini will also support Centrestage feature. While the entry-level iPad supports first-gen Pencil, the iPad mini gets support for second-gen Apple Pencil. Apple iPad mini will come in four colour variants.
The new iPad mini will cost more than the entry-level iPad.
The new iPad mini is available to order beginning today, and will be in stores beginning Friday, September 24.
Pad mini gets a huge performance boost from the new A15 Bionic chip, which Apple claims delivers all-day battery life.1 The 6-core CPU delivers a 40 percent jump in performance, and the 5-core GPU delivers an 80 percent leap in graphics performance compared to the previous generation of iPad mini.
Apple iPad Mini: Price
The Wi-Fi models of iPad mini are available with a starting price of Rs 46900 and Wi-Fi + Cellular models start at Rs 60900. The new iPad mini, in 64GB and 256GB configurations, comes in pink, starlight, purple, and space grey finishes.
Apple Pencil (2nd generation), available for purchase separately, is compatible with iPad mini for Rs 10900.
The new Smart Folio for iPad mini is available for INR 5500 in black, white, dark cherry, English lavender, and electric orange.
