2.Aliv seeds
Also known as Garden cress or Halim, Aliv seeds are packed with calcium, nutrients, iron, dietary fibre, and various vitamins like A, C, and E which promote hair growth. Wondering how to consume them? Soak these seeds and have them with milk at night. As per the health expert, you can “roll these rich seeds into ladoos with coconut and ghee for even better results.” She further said that Aliv seeds also help with hair loss that comes with chemo treatment.
3.Nutmeg
This spice can do wonders to the hair. Not only will it make your tresses stronger, but can also prevent hair fall, encourage hair growth and even add extra volume. You can add a small pinch of nutmeg powder to milk (along with Aliv seeds) and have it as a nightcap. Vitamin B6, folic acid and magnesium in nutmeg help to prevent hair loss, the health expert stated.
Rujuta has also mentioned three other ingredients- ghee, haldi (turmeric), dahi (curd) – that are useful for preventing hair loss. According to nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar, ghee should be consumed “for its essential fats”, while haldi is preferred in diet “for its immune-boosting properties.” As far as dahi or curd is concerned, it is needed “for the minerals and probiotic bacteria.”
