Aparna Balamurali celebrates the National Film Award win on the sets ‘Ini Utharam’ – Times of India
“I was worried if your trip will be wasted. Anyway, it did not happen and I am just overwhelmed by this huge award. I owe this award to the director of the film, Sudha who was strongly behind me and supported me at every moment. This film was released during the Covid period and we all really missed a proper theatre release. But now with this, I feel really excited and elated and just cannot express my emotions and feelings,” Aparna Balamurali told the press, who were waiting near the sets prior to the announcement.
Aparna Balamurali essayed the role of Bommi and romanced Suriya in the film, which was helmed by Sudha Kongara. The film won 5 National Awards this year – Best Feature Film, Best Actor (Suriya), Best Actress (Aparrna Balamurali), Best Screenplay (Shalini Usha Nair and Sudha Kongara), and Music Director-Background Score (G V Prakash Kumar).
Meanwhile, ‘Ini Utharam’ is directed by Sudheesh Ramachandran and scripted by Ranjith Unni. The taglines of the film reads, “Every answer has a question.”
Aparna Balamurali and Kalabhavan Shajon are playing the lead characters in ‘Ini Utharam’, while actors Hareesh Uthaman, Sidharth Menon, Siddique, Jaffer Idukki, Dinesh Prabhakar, Shaju Sreedhar, Jayan Cherthala, and Sajin Gopu will be seen in supporting roles in the film.
