The special cell added that Bishnoi claimed that he will reconsider his decision only after the ‘Dabangg’ star tenders an apology in public. This reportedly comes days after Salman’s lawyer Hastimal Saraswat received a death threat letter from the infamous gang. The letter read that Hastimal and his family members will meet the same fate as slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. The letter read, ‘The enemy’s friend is our enemy. We will not spare anyone, not even your family members. You will meet the same fate as Moose Wala, soon.’ Earlier, Bishnoi and his gang members had issued a similar letter to Salman and his father.

HGS Dhaliwal, Special Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) told a news portal in an interview that during interrogation, he candidly said that since the Bishnois consider the blackbuck to be the reincarnation of their religious guru, Bhagwan Jambeshwar also known as Jambaji, acquittal or punishment from the court will not be the last verdict for him.

Elaborating further, the officer added that he would only change his mind if Salman and his father Salim Khan apologise to his community in public in Jambaji temple or the Bishnois will kill them.

Meanwhile, this year on the occasion of Eid, Salman avoided coming in public to wish his fans on the special occasion owing to the threats he has received. A source had told ETimes that ten special force officers have been posted at his Galaxy Apartment and 15 CCTV cameras have also been installed in his building and nearby area for security purposes. The special force officers accompany Salman on the sets as well.
