Brazil beats United States in thriller to win men’s GLOBL JAM championship – Sportsnet.ca
Brazil defeated the United States 77-73 to win the inaugural men’s GLOBL JAM championship.
Brazil broke a 72-72 tie in the final minute of the game then kept the U.S. at bay to hold on and win. American Keyonte George had a wide-open look from three to tie the game in the final seconds but the ball bounced in and out.
Yago Dos Santos led the way for Brazil with 30 points and 11 assists in the win and took home tournament MVP honours.

Earlier in the day, Canada beat France to win the woman’s championship.
GLOBL JAM is a new under-23 international basketball tournament hosted by Canada Basketball and Sportsnet. Brazil won the tournament with a 4-1 record, defeating the U.S. and Italy in round-robin play but losing to Canada, then beating Italy again in the semifinal before their win over the U.S. in the final.
