Arizona Cardinals cornerback Jeff Gladney dies in a car crash at 25
According to the news from the County Sheriff’s Department in Dallas, two vehicles were involved. Primary investigation revealed that a speeding white car clipped the second vehicle from behind. That car then lost control and bumped into the freeway pier beam, killing two people, a woman and a man in the car. The man and woman in the second vehicle remained uninjured.
Gladney was about to enter his third NFL season. Before NFL, he used to play football at Texas Christian University. He was drafted as a first-round pick-up by the Minnesota Vikings in 2020 but was released ahead of the 2021 season because he was indicted on felony assault charges.
Gladney was not found guilty in the incident, and the Cardinals signed him for two years in March 2022. Recently, he had been training with the Cardinals team during the organized team practices of the NFL.
On Monday, the Cardinals expressed their grief through Tweets saying how devastated they are by the news and that their condolences are with his family, friends, and all those mourning his loss. Even the Vikings expressed their grief over the passing of Jeff Gladney., expressing their condolences to the Cardinals team, his former teammates, and coaches as well.
The heartfelt sympathies and condolences poured over from the Twitter accounts of NFL players from across the league. A talented player was taken at a very young age from the world. It was horrific and tragic. Although all the details are not yet available, we have lost a precious gem, and nothing can comfort the pain of the loss.
